Publication of the updated Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2021/821 setting up a Union regime for the control of exports, brokering, technical assistance, transit and transfer of dual-use items

On 6 January 2022, it has been published on the Official Journal of the EU the updated version of the Annex I to EU Dual-Use Regulation (also known as EU Dual-Use Control List): Commission delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1 of 20 October 2021 amending Regulation (EU) 2021/821 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list of dual-use items.

New amendments concern :

• Control parameters;
• Technical definitions and descriptions;
• Removal or addition of dual-use items.

The Annex I is regularly updated every year by the EU Commission following the changes to the control lists agreed by the relevant multilateral export control regimes.

The new Commission delegated Regulation 2022/1 will enter into force starting from tomorrow, January 7.
